Washington State is now the second largest wine-producing state in the
nation. With over 29,000 acres now planted in vinifera grapes and 170
wineries presently operating within the state, Washington’s wine
industry is growing at a robust rate. Strengthened by reputation for
producing wines of very high quality, strong sales, international
recognition, and statewide consumer demand, the Washington wine industry
continues to enjoy rapid growth.
